Study Abroad Programs

1. Outbound Program

SKKU kicked off its outbound exchange program in the late 1990s. The 21st century has witnessed a considerable expansion of the number of outgoing SKKU students to partner universities around the world. This is mainly attributed to the increase of international collaboration, resulting in a huge influx of international students to our university.

Every semester, over 300 students go on study abroad programs to experience the world. Through these valuable outgoing programs, SKKU students are able to create valuable networks with global friends. Moreover, we also expect outgoing students to play critical roles as ambassadors of SKKU in promoting our global competency, around the world.

2. 7+1 Program

Through the 7+1 Program, students of SKKU are given financial support to seek opportunities to study at prestigious universities ranked high in the QS World University Rankings, for the purpose of cultivating a global mindset and being rewarded for their outstanding academic achievements through scholarships.

Fifty program recipients are selected every year and sent to various distinguished universities all over Britain, the United States, Asia and Europe.

Major universities include :

Indiana University, Minnesota University, Purdue University (USA), King’s College London, University of Edinburgh (UK), University of New South Wales (Australia), Peking University (China), Waseda University (Japan), Nanyang Technological University (Singapore), National Taiwan Normal University (Taiwan), Leiden University (Netherlands), and many more.
