This subject has the object that students understand the origin of promodern Chinese classics education and its historical development, how Chinese classics education of traditional period went though th process and changed. This would be helpful that we find out how Chinese classics education of traditional period was educated and we understand and the position of Chinese classics education of traditional period its traits as we examine the actual conditions of Chinese classics education which can be the basis of traditional education.

This subject focuses on understanding it through the viewpoint of Chinese classics education that built up methodology of Chinese classics education of Korea for a long time and how the methodology has changed as Chinese classics became a main subject after modern nation establishment. It would help us to newly illuminate Chinese classics education as we systematically examine and research various methodology of Chinese classics education if we inquire into which methodology was performed at actual educational spot after the introduction of modern education system and which one would be appropriate.

The aim of this subject is which methodology will be selected when the Chinese ones of the Chosun Dynasty era among Chinese writers' works of Korea are educated at secondary school. Chinese poetry is the essence of Chinese classics of Korea, and the origins, works and writers are various. That is why it will be easy for us to understand universality of literature and particularity of the Chinese classics style through Chinese poetry. We illuminate the establishment and the development phases of Chinese poetry having educational vision, and elaborately investigate each work, writer's character and the cultural basis where each work was born. This subject will be contributed to the educational aspect of Chinese poetry as we investigate not only the phases of the times of Chinese poetry but the aesthetic particularity emerging from vague appreciation and description of Chinese poetry.
CMC6004 Novel Education for Chinese Classics 3 6 Major Doctor 1-4 - No
This subject has the aim how we educate classical Chinese novels of the early period of Korea at secondary school. Romances among classical Chinese novels, the series of biographies of Samkuksagi and works of Samkukyusa are interesting appear their literary intention. Therefore, we can understand universality and particularity of novels through classical Chinese novels of the early period. We illuminate the establishment and the development phases of classical Chinese novels of the early period having educational vision, and elaborately investigate each work, writer's character and the cultural basis where each work was born. We will concentrate on the educational aspect of classical Chinese novels as we investigate not only the phases of the times of classical Chinese novels but the aesthetic particularity emerging from vague appreciation and description of classical Chinese novels.

This subject make us appreciate each composition, understand thoughts and apply to education examining prose having various literary gems, according to types, which important writers left until the Korea Dynasty era in Chinese classics history of Korea. We could check various features and meanings of traditional prose by educational browsing each composition's traits, its meaning and main idea which show changes according to each period.

We will select Chinese classics writers until the Korea Dynasty era when it has a very important position in Chinese classics history of Korea, and investigate their lives, literary theories and works on educational aspect. Ancient sages' characters and their culture will be understood through important writers' lives and works so that their true characters and the meaning of the traditional literature will be alive again as present meaning.
CMC6007 Research on Chinese Classics Textbook 3 6 Major Doctor 1-4 - No
Research on Chinese Classics Textbook (1) This subject has the goal that we select Chinese classics textbooks which published in promodern and modern transition periods and examine system, character and contents of each textbook. It is a main point what contents each textbook has as grasping various types of textbooks in the modern enlightenment period and until the year of 1945. Research on Chinese Classics Textbook (2) We select Chinese classics textbooks of Korea from North and South Korea after the year of 1945 and examine system, character and main contents of each textbook. We find out Chinese classics textbooks of not only North and South korea according to curricula but also Japan so that compare and investigate them mutually.
CMC6008 Special Topics for Korean and Chinese Classics 3 6 Major Doctor 1-4 - No
The goal of this subject is to understand the Korean-Chinese classics controversy, the actual condition of the language policy development and its periodical meaning from the modern transition period until now. Also, we focus on understanding right direction of language policy knowing concrete phases of Korean-Chinese classic minglement and the changes of language policy through newspaper editorials, historical materials and textbooks from each period.

This course cultivates and supports research partnerships between our undergraduates and faculty. It offers the chance to work on cutting edge research—whether you join established research projects or pursue your own ideas. Undergraduates participate in each phase of standard research activity: developing research plans, writing proposals, conducting research, analyzing data and presenting research results in oral and written form. Projects can last for an entire semester, and many continue for a year or more. SKKU students use their CGS(Creative Group Study) experiences to become familiar with the faculty, learn about potential majors, and investigate areas of interest. They gain practical skills and knowledge they eventually apply to careers after graduation or as graduate students.
