With the growth of educational technology, we are inundated with large amounts of data on unprecedented scale. The ability to collect, process, analyze and interpret various types of educational data is increasingly critical to success as an educational researcher and a practitioner. This course is designed to equip students with necessary knowledge and skills to leverage multimodal data collected from technology-enhanced environments. They will also have opportunities to review literature to gain insights into how to apply learning analytics for enhancing teaching and learning in technology-enhanced environments. In the early part of this course, students will explorer techniques for data processing and management. The later sessions will engage them in applying the learning analytics approach to understand learning processes as well as design optimized technology-enhanced environments.

This course aims to explore future education and future leaders in education. In this course, students will experience various predictions about future, future education, and future school by professionals and leaders in the world. Besides, students can study about various theories and perspectives of leadership in education. The objectives of of this course are as follows. First, students look into the future society and future education presented by experts and leaders in the world. Second, students predict what future education and future schools will look like based on experts' and leaders’ predictions. Third, students will understand various educational leadership theories and perspectives based on cases. Fourth, students will predict the image and leadership of educational leaders (principals, teachers) suitable for future education and future schools. To achieve these learning goals, the following activities will be performed in this class. First, students will study future forecast reports from international organizations. Second, students will watch and discuss articles and videos about future predictions by futurology experts and leaders. Third, students read academic articles and policy research on future education and future schools and present what future schools will look like. It aims to broaden their understanding of the concept and importance of global citizenship education. In addition, the course explores various theoretical approaches and examines cases of global citizenship education programs implemented by the United Nations, UN member states, and non-governmental organizations. Through this course, students will enhance their understanding of global citizenship education, develop their own perspectives on the subject, and cultivate the skills necessary for practical application in future professional settings
