COM2018 Artificial Intelligence and Education 3 6 Major Bachelor Computer Education Korean Yes
This course aims to explore various educational uses and possibilities of how artificial intelligence can be used in educational environments based on a basic understanding of artificial intelligence, After understanding artificial intelligence through general learning about artificial intelligence, the learners can learn how to utilize various artificial intelligence tools for educational purposes. It is possible for the learners to experience how to use these tools for the purpose of the actual middle school class and to derive useful results. In this process, all learners have the opportunity to share and evaluate each other's results, and learn how artificial intelligence is being used in our daily lives.
COM3022 Artificial Intelligence 3 6 Major Bachelor 4 Computer Education Korean Yes
This course introduces problem representation in state space, depth first search, and heuristic search. Also, knowledge representation methods using rule, predicate logic, and resolution are described.
COM3033 Big Data Visualization 3 6 Major Bachelor 3-4 Computer Education - No
In this subject, learners learn the art of visualizing big data effectively. Implement and validate visualization techniques using Python languages based on a variety of data analysis types.
EDU2034 Computer Applications in Education 3 6 Major Bachelor Education Korean Yes
The purpose of the course is to help students become proficient in applying computer technologies in teaching and learning contexts. Students in this course will learn various state-of-the-art technologies and apply them into teaching and learning contexts. These technologies include HTML, storytelling, video, and audio editing, and social media (e.g.,wikiorblogging). With the use of each technology, students will develop a learning and teaching material. By the end of the semester, students will develop their online portfolio to demonstrate their competency in using computer technologies in teaching and learning practices.
EDU3056 Learning Analytics and Educational Data Mining 3 6 Major Bachelor Education - No
With the growth of educational technology, we are inundated with large amounts of data on unprecedented scale. The ability to collect, process, analyze and interpret various types of educational data is increasingly critical to success as an educational researcher and a practitioner. This course is designed to equip students with necessary knowledge and skills to leverage multimodal data collected from technology-enhanced environments. They will also have opportunities to review literature to gain insights into how to apply learning analytics for enhancing teaching and learning in technology-enhanced environments. In the early part of this course, students will explorer techniques for data processing and management. The later sessions will engage them in applying the learning analytics approach to understand learning processes as well as design optimized technology-enhanced environments.
